Avent storage containers - I have a freezer full of them (Avent Via Breastmilk / Baby Food Containers)

Disadvantages: A bit pricey!

I was one of those mothers who couldn't breastfeed so this review is purely based on using them as food/ storage containers but I'm pretty sure the same applies for storing breast milk. I started weaning my son at about 4 months as he was a very hungry baby. I found myself cooking loads of purees from the baby recipe books and realised that I would need loads of freezeable / microwave containers. When my baby was born I bought one of those Avent starter packs that had a couple of these food containers included. As such I started using these containers to store my purees in. They were ideal, they could be put in the freezer, the microwave and the dishwasher and they still maintained their shape unlike other tuppawares. Also, they have a measurement scale on them too (I guess so as you know the amount of breast milk stored). As my son got older and ate more food I realised that the pot was the ideal size for the amount he would eat. I like to cook in bulk and freeze and as such my 3 shelf freezer has one large shelf dedicated to these containers full of baby food. They are great for storing raisins, grapes and snacks too! I would say they can be a bit pricey but they are worth it and it's worth checking ebay and keeping an eye out for offers!
