A really good baby bouncer chair

I purchased a BabyBjorn Babysitter 1 2 3 bouncer/rocker chair for my son when he was 8 months old, about 2 months ago. For me this item is a godsend. My older son who is now 5 also had one of these chairs and it was definitely one of the best baby items I bought. For my 5 year old I bought one of these chairs after reading about it in a baby magazine, I bought it online from Boots, unfortunately Boots nolonger seem to stock these. Anyway I bought 2 of these chairs for my first son, one for home and one for the childminder's home. What is so special about these chairs. Basically they seem to have a very simple design, a fabric covering on a metal frame with a half moon wooden part at the front to keep the chair weighted to the floor. There is no rocking mechanism or any electrical parts, the chair reacts to the movement of the baby. There is something very rhythmical about the movement, not too fast or too slow just at the baby's pace. The chair is adjustable, the instructions say for play, rest and sleep, but to be honest I just found the position my baby was most comfortable in and left it at that. To adjust the chair is very easy, there is a little plastic bit on the underside that you move to the required position. The chair can also be folded flat to carry around. The chair comes already assembled, you just have to select the position you require and click it to that. The instructions state that the chair is suitable for babies from 8lbs to 29lbs, roughly birth to 24 months. For my first child I can concur with this we did use it straight from birth and it did him until around 2 years. I put the chair away and brought it out for the new baby, hence the reason I was only buying a new one for him at 8 months. The new one is for the childminder's home as the older chair is still in use in my home. The chair has a removable fabric cover that can be put in the washing machine. I have found my chairs to be very hardwearing and durable, and they have had plenty of use. My sons both enjoyed sitting in the chair and found them very comfortable, they slept in them quite often, also the bouncing is very soothing. When the covers gets dirty I just put it in the wash on a normal 40 wash. The original chairs I bought were a denim blue colour and the new one is black. They also come with a removable toy bar that clips onto the frame of the chair. I cannot recommend this chair enough, but more information can be found at www.babybjorn.com. This time I did find it a little difficult to find a stockist but eventually came across www.bumpto3.com, I ordered the chair on Tuesday morning and it arrived at my door on Wednesday at 11.30am, excellent service. The chair I recently purchased cost me £64.51 and then £3.95 delivery, these are a bit more expensive than most bouncer chairs but they last much longer and can be used from baby to toddler. The specific criteria asks how the item is powered, please ignore this as there is no power source required, other than baby power! Also published on other sites.
