Little Wonders non spill beaker

One of the collection I have been acquiring for grandson's visit- I have quite a collection now so he can visit at any time.

**THE CUP**

The cup itself comes with just the necessary amount of packaging- a card holder over the top with all the information and instructions, so i am not battling with all the card and grumbling about the fact that I can't recycle it here!

The cup I have is blue with a yellow base and random splodges, which are the gripping areas, because they are rougher than the rest of the cup and so helps the cup not slip out of small hands. The lid has a scalloped edge and screws easily on and off without trying to fiddle about trying to find the thread. The lid has a spout and strangely a small plugged hole on the lid which I believe must help the non spill theory.

It tapers in the middle of the cup so isn't too chunky for small hands to hold, so unlike some of the more chunky beakers, this is ideal for children for 4 months upwards.

**USING THE CUP**

It's mostly common sense but I did read the information and followed the mor relevant instructions including:
* The cup should be placed in boiling water before use
* Don't use harsh cleaning products or scourers to clean the cup
* Dishwasher and microwave safe
* Use cooled boiled water not boiling water and shake well to make sure the heat is evenly distributed

**WARNINGS**

As well as the common sense useage, there are common sense warnings, which are all indicated on the card packaging, including suggestions to regularly inspect the cup for damage or punctures and not using the spout as a soother.

**PRICE AND AVAILABILITY**

The cup costs £1.99 which is great value and is available usually from local chemists and online at www.babywayint.co.uk - this sells lots of baby stuff as the name suggests and all at reasonable prices.

**VERDICT**

This has proved to be a really good buy. Little man is nearly 5 months now and is just loving the juice in beaker scenario, although he hasn't quite worked out where his other body parts are as he waves it wildly about! However, although there has been some pretty crazy waving about of the cup, there have only been drops of the juice spill out; I don't know the theory of how this happens but it is non spill. The cup is light and easy for him to handle and because of the grip fast material he seems able to get a good hold of it, and the lid screws off and back on again easily so you can make and get drink quickly to little one.

This has succesfully gone into the dishwasher and the steriliser and hasn't faded or lost any of its screw on tightness as a result, but since i haven't had any need to use it in the microwave, i can't vouch for its effectiveness in this area.

We use it for juice not milk, so it hasn't contained warm drinks, but if warm water is put into the cup, check it's cool enough for little hands to hold because I noticed when I had it in boiled water that heat can be felt through the plastic.

A great value beaker which I would recommend.

Thanks for reading
