My baby daughter would jusy not accept a teat from a bottle to feed. She just wanted me to feed her. I had often heard people talking about these cups, but they are not readily available in shops and thought they looked slightly stupid and not to mention messy so never bothered with. They were emphasising the importance of transitions to cups which were sipped from rather than sucked (i.e. contained a valve) when the time came for transition to cup.
