Advantages: reasonably priced, nice designs.

Disadvantages: not a huge range, all have different teats, boots change them all the time

Argh soothers/ dummys are a very sore subject for me lol. When i was pregnant with twins one of the first things i bought were some dummys to help them be able to settle themselves or so i thought.

Anyhow for the first wcouple of weeks they never had one as they were only tiny anyway so just slept and fed however once they reached around 4 weeks is when the waking through the night started and i gave into the doddy as with 2 of them it was the only way i could settle them and they could settle themselves. They would then go straight back to sleep.

However me not realising when i bought the dummys from Boots they had a funny shaped teat known as orthodontic so it goes on like a slant. Well because these were the first dummys they got obviouslt they got attahced to them, then once we ahd lost or these were really grubby i went out to buy some more and foudn that they were extrmely difficult to get hold of. Id had to go up a teat size and they just didnt do them. I managed to find some in boots that they would have and got quite a few, however quite recently boots have changed them all again and discontinued the ones they had. Ive been trying weeks and i dont knw what it is but boots never seem to keep a huge stock of dummys, their shelves are always empty so ive gone around 5 weeks with grubby dummys.

I even looked online to see if i could get them and they were out of stock there as well. Ive finalyl managed to get them after spending at least £20 on dummys that are stuck in the cupboard because they wont take them.

So really beward wehn you buy dummys make sure you choose a really well known brand thats not going to discontinue or change them as you have a real problem on your hands lol. As i found out!

But as for the boots brand ive always found them fab but why do the yhave to change them all the time, realyl reasonably priced as well compared to others.

Summary: Boots do great soothers however beware of the teats you choose as they often discontinue them
