This item is truely a essential when it comes to your list of baby needs. I had so much trouble getting comfortable with back pain and relaxation when I had my baby, my midwife suggested the pillow. I used in religiously, it was so comfortable for both of us. the pillow supports the baby so she lays against your tummy and head raised slightly, the perfect feeding position. My arm was left comfortable with something to rest against and I could sit back and relax without baby slipping away. I also travelled to Australia a few times when my daughter was tiny and this pillow is perfect for resting your baby on you during a flight. It helps prevent you getting sore. My daughter still uses the pillow to rest on now. It is a rubber blow up pillow which also makes it ideal for travel. It cost about £11.00 a few years back and it comes in a few different fabrics.

I bought the boots nursing pillow , I had tried it at the hospital, and after struggling with pillows and tired arms I decided it was expensive necessity. At £26.00 it is over priced, but I woulddn't have done without it. Filled with beans, its comfy and keeps the baby warm, and the beans in mine didn't seem to go flat at all. You can read your book , eat your dinner and it acts as a great barrier if you're in company where they find breast feeding slightly embarrasing, just wrap your arms round it and wheres the baby!? No uncomfortable positioning and tired achy arms. It has an attractive colorful cover , which I often washed and now it even gets used as a head pillow when reading in bed. Indespensible

I had an elective caesarean with Jack and was worried about lifting and holding him to feed (I breastfed for 10 weeks then bottle fed) The midwives at antenatal classes suggested pillows, etc, but I thought rather than get our pillows covered in milk and sick I would buy the Boots nursing pillow which is great, its horseshoe shaped which fits snuggly around your tummy and just put baby ontop and away you go. Its filled with beans which after a while do go flat and the bag could do with a small zip so the pillow can be topped up, its nice as the beans mould around you and the baby, it also keeps them warm (when its cold) The cover comes off and is washable and I am sure that you could put the actual bag into be washed on a delicate wash too, although its not recommended. They also say that it can be used on the floor when your baby learns to sit up, but with all the squashed beans I didnt really feel it gave much protection or support !! Its another one of those luxuries really and if you want something for this reason only its brilliant. Its quite pricey at £26.00 but you can feed your baby and have both hands free for reading or EATING !!!!!
