Advantages: uses water , easy to clean, fast and reliable

Disadvantages: holds 6 bottles, not enough for a busy twin mum

I bought my first Boots Steam steriliser in 1996. I had extensively searched all the other stores that sold baby equipment and decided that the Boots Steam steriliser was the best on offer.

It fits either wide necked or tall thin bottles of any make.
It would hold all the different parts of my breast pump, which has some odd shaped pieces, that could not have fitted into some other steam sterilisers.
The intructions were easy to follow and the seperate parts of the steriliser were easy to clean.(Not much to it really)
There is no more outlay involved as no sterilising tablets are required, just a small amount of water.

My original steriliser is still working today, it has been descaled a few times but that is all that has been needed.
And I say at the beginning "my first Boots..." that is because my second pregnancy was twins (born 1999), and because I was breastfeeding, but also giving my babies expressed milk in a bottle, I found that I needed an extra sterilising machine. I bought another Boots one.
I gave my friend my first steam steriliser and she is most likely putting it on at this moment! So I am mighty impressed that the steriliser that I bought in June '96 is still Steaming ahead today!
The other Steriliser is now installed at my SIL's as her baby is due in the next few weeks.
