Great product *before* the warranty expires! Our started misreading (e.g. 39.5C instead of 38.3C), which gave us big worries w/o real reason. Contacted manufacturer (01159-437918) for re-calibration and learned that the service doesn't exist. *IF* you are still under warranty, they might have a look, but for the high price one normally pay, one would expect the product to last more than 2 years... My son is a severe epileptic, who is very sensitive to temperature, he will often start fitting once his temperature hits 38c. Therefore it's very important I can keep a check on his temperature when he's ill. However, he also dislikes being held and would kick, bite and generally try to escape while we were waiting for an underarm thermometer to take a reading.
