For all those that are planning on breastfeeding, go out and buy a tube of Calendula cream. This is, without doubt, the best thing for sore nipples! You can buy it from all chemists and I promise you it will be the best 3.50 you spend. Some other nipple creams contain lanolin, which I find rather odd because a lot of people are allergic to it. Calendula is a homepathic remedy and from the moment you apply it, you'll feel relief. Keep it in the fridge so that it's nice and cold when you use it and apply it after you have feed your baby. You don't need to wipe it off before feeding because it is perfectly safe for baby. Another tip if your nipples are sore, make sure you expose yourself :o) for a while after you've fed and before you apply the cream.
