Advantages: Sturdy frame, big tray table, folds securely and compactly.

Disadvantages: Sides of padded seat have ripped.

I bought this highchair in Mothercare when it was on offer from £59.99 down to £39.99. Since I bought it, I have seen it on offer several times so worth hanging on till it goes into a promo if you can. It is currently £10 off on Mothercare website.

There were 3 main reasons I chose this highchair.

1. It folds up easily and to quite a compact size. It stands securely (free-standing) when folded and is light enough to carry around kitchen.

2. So many of the chairs I saw were in really gaudy colours. This one is just a nice blue with a discreet "scribble" pattern over it. (Cupcakes, Forks "Feed Me") . I have not seen this design elsewhere so may be exclusive to Mothercare.

3. It felt very sturdy and the seat was well padded. Seemed like quite a luxurious seat compared to cheaper alternatives.

The chair comes partially assembled, you need to put the arms, basket, footrest, padded seat and harness onto the seat but this is very simple and I had it assembled in about 15 minutes.

The padded seat and harness are removable which means you can wash quite easily. The seat back has 3 reclining positions.

The tray has 4 positions to allow for baby's growth and can be removed from the chair to clean and store. It is a really good size, plenty of room for toys after lunch.

The basket underneath is quite large and is good for storing bibs and toys. I also find that things baby drops land in here which saves me picking up spoons and toys from all around the kitchen floor.

Dimensions
Seat height: 68cm
Unfolded: H82 x W58 x D101cm
Folded: H92 x W58 x D41cm
Weight: 6.3kg

The instructions state that it is suitable from 6 months but I had my baby in there at 5 months as the seat is so well padded it propped him up securely.

I have had one problem with this highchair, where the padded backrest folds up agianst the frame it is starting to rip at the seams. I have emailed Chicco to complain and will update this review when I get a satisfactory reply.

The folding/unfolding of the chair took a few attempts before I could do it easily, but it has stayed very stable and secure even though I put it up and down several times every day.

Overall, I think it's an excellent frame but have an issue with the padded seat cover.

Summary: Good but not great for the money.
