Advantages: loads comfortable, safe, easy to use
Disadvantages: initial outlay
The chicco polly has been nominated for and received lots of awards for its design and use. These including mother and baby gold award/ best buy
The highchair is suitable for babies 6 months-3 years old and has the following features:
*3 position adjustable tray, with food tray which clips onto main highchair tray - very useful and easy to clean
* tray can be stored on the back of the high chair- very useful for keeping things tidy
*Handy parent tray, fitted to leg for ease of use -we never used this after the first week and it now just sits in the basket at the back of the highchair
* 3 position, adjustable reclining seat - a useful feature if baby falls asleep at the table we have also this this to lay him back and give him medication as there is less wriggle room than holding him
*7 height positions- we have mainly used the one of the heights that we can feed him at when sat in our dining chairs though we bought it with the view that it would lower so the chair can be pulled up to the table.
*Deep-padded, comfortable seat - very nice and compared to the highchair at grandmama's he is much more supported and when he was first using the highchair it seemed to stop him getting lost
*Outer 'jacket' can be removed to enlarge seat for older children- still using the outer shell at the mo but comes of easy when cleaning
* Height and angle-adjustable footrest very useful and my son loves resting his feet on it and kicking it!
* 5 point harness- this is easy to take off for cleaning especially useful now my son is trying to feed himself
*Removable and wipe clean, PVC seat cover- does what it says
* Net basket for storage - reasonable size for storing toys and bibs etc
*Free-standing when folded - very handy when hovering around the messy my little one makes
* some versions have wheels and breaks_ useful for moving around when cleaning.
The highchair costs between £95- £120 depending on the retailer you can buy them from Tescos direct Argos Mothercare.
We bought ours at a local nursery shop CK Buggies in York who where having bank holiday offers and got it for £75 I think given the daily use and mess this has to endure I would say it represents value for money
Summary: in my opinion the best highchair on the market with lots of useful features
