Advantages: Sturdy, practical, comfortable.

Disadvantages: Bit bulky if space is an issue.

Our 14 month old daughter received this highchair as a gift from her grandparents when she was around five months old and getting to the stage when she was ready to be weaned. It was also around this time that she began to sit up unaided without requiring her head to be supported so was ready for a chair to sit in. (Prior to this we used a Bumbo seat for her from when she was about 4 months - also an excellent product).

I would say this is a deluxe highchair and is worth that little bit extra for the additional features and comfort that it will give your child. The chair is well padded with an easy wipe clean covering which is bright and colourful. The back rest sits in the upright position for feeding but can also be reclined half-way or to a fully lying-down position if your child crashes out mid-meal! The foot rest can also be set at varying positions depending on your child's size and preference.

Your child is secured in with a five point safety harness which is easily adjusted to the right size.

There is a large plastic tray which has a clip-on cover which can easily be detached once your child has finished eating and cleaned up. The lower part of the tray can remain in place for your child to play with toys etc.

Extra little features are the additional small tray at the rear of the chair which can be used by the parent to hold other items such as a cup of tea or other food stuff which they don't want the child to see. A little storage area at the bottom is used by us for storing bibs. The chair can also be made shorter so that child is nearer to the floor, haven't used this but might be useful if you were feeding your child in the living room and sitting on the floor, rather than at the table.

It folds into an upright position, with both legs closed in together, which doesn't make it very compact but we have left ours in place at the kitchen table all the time so haven't had to store it, so this doesn't matter too much to us but if space was an issue this might not be the best choice. Also, the model we chose, only has wheels on the front legs rather than back and front, however, some models have the wheels on both, so again if you were going to be moving it around, look for this option.

All in all, an excellent sturdy practical chair which is standing the test of time so far!

Summary: Excellent high chair - take the hassle out of meal times.
