Advantages: Big, Plenty to Do, Wide Base so Stable, Room for three Kids

Disadvantages: Very Big in a small Yard

We had a slide for our children for about three years, but after we put it in the loft we came to get it down and dropped it! OOPS! Our three boys LOVE climbing and we decided that we would just have to get them a new slide. The problem is that they are quite big for their ages and the slides that were designed for their age group were too small for them to get a good “SLIDE” on.

We hunted through the catalogues and eventually found something that they all liked and we liked too. The CLAIRBOIS play gym priced at £124.99 in Argos but is now called called TRI-ANG)

We decided to wait a while and were glad we did when we saw it in their sale book for just under £100. We were glad to see that it was available for Free home delivery as neither of us drive and duly went and ordered it. It arrived a day before it was due and the kids were so excited when they saw it.

It says that it requires assembly by two adults and it certainly did. It was a lot bigger than we thought, and we were worried that it wouldn’t fit in our small back yard - it’s a tight squeeze now.

The “Gym” has four different ways to get up to the platform - a “Climbing Wall”, Rope Ladder and Normal Ladder, as well as a series of holes in another side. The slide is a good length, but a bit on the short side for our 7-year-old.

The “Gym” comes with a fold up tunnel which can be used with most of the “pop-up Tent” ranges (available from most good toy shops) and folds down to a very small circle for easy storage. The tunnel and the rope ladder are the only easily removable parts and are the only parts that aren’t recommended to be left outside.

On the safety side, the “Gym” comes with screws and plugs to anchor it to the ground and the instructions do recommend this, although I must admit we haven’t because we need to move it around a bit depending on wha
t else we have out at the time.

The weight restrictions are up to three children with a combined weight of 100Kg. The age Rating is 2 - 8 years.
