Advantages: Simple design, comfortable, pormotes good feeding posture

Disadvantages: Difficult to clean, can't use suction cup toys or bowls

The Concord Lima folding travel highchair can be used as a stand alone chair or attached to a normal chair. It has a removable tray so your child can eat at the table if you prefer. The seat cover can be removed and the manufactures claim that it can be washed at 30 deg C in the washing machine. It folds flat for transport and comes with its own travel bag.

I bought this to replace the Bumbo which my child had outgrown. I wanted a seat that wasn't too big, was portable and could be used so my child could eat at the table. It's small size and padded seat keeps my daughter comfortable and secure during meal times. She hated the highchairs with the shoulder straps as she would always end up slumped in the chair. However she is able to sit perfectly upright in the Lima and feeding can continue with problem.

The chair folds to almost flat, I don't usually bother with the travel bag and just throw it into the boot of the car. It's been invaluable when visiting relatives and friends during meal times, although I usually just use it as a stand alone chair and feed her on the floor when not at home. Our dinning room chairs have a rounded back and seat. It took awhile to get the straps just right to secure the chair. To stop the straps moving to a narrower part of the chair I wrapped the straps around the chair legs. This keeps it secure. I would say that the Lima could be used on almost any as the straps are very long.

Getting my daughter in and out is easy, even with the tray attached (although she is still only 20lb). The tray has a rough surface to it which means that toys or bowls with suction cups won't suck! The tray also has a very small depression for a cup or glass, but it is far too small for any sippy cups we use.

I usually just sponge down the seat cover with detergent to get rid of most food stains. I have washed it twice at 30 deg C, hand-wash setting in my washing machine and the cover has shrunk a little so it does not fit as well. I wish the cover was easier to clean, a more wipe-able fabric would have been better. I especially dislike the towel like material on the arms of the chair. I guess it's to provide comfort but it just acts as a catcher for any food going and it's difficult to keep clean.

Overall I'm please with the chair. I got it for £30 from an ebay seller. My only wish is that the cover could be cleaned more easily. I would recommend the Concord Lima Folding Travel Chair to anyone looking for a portable chair to use with there own dinning room chairs.

Summary: Don't bother geting a big highchair, use your own chairs and a Concord Lima
