Advantages: Durable, easy to clean, comfortable

Disadvantages: Not easy to store

Following my daughter's Winnie The Pooh theme, she had to have a Winnie The Pooh high chain and you can imagine my pleasure when I came across this in the Argos catalogue. It looked nice as well as having a traditional look. We were given it as a gift and I think at the time it cost £49.99.

The first great thing about this highchair is that it is a 3 in 1 highchair with a wipe clean tray. In this instance it means that it can be used in the following ways:

1) As the standard high chair which you see in the picture
2) It comes apart and becomes a table and chair
3) Just as a chair

This highchair came to us flat packed for home assembly and we left it flat packed until my daughter was ready to use it. It was fairly easy to put together with the use of the instructions. There were a couple of times the air turned blue when my husband couldn't get the screws to tighten up just enough but other than that it was pretty straightforward.

When it was assembled, we could see it was very sturdy and made from solid wood. My husband and I both gave it a good shake and nothing was budging this highchair so we were sure that she wouldn't be able to easily topple it over. It doesn't look at all breakable and in the whole time my daughter used it, it never broke and the wood never chipped.

My daughter finally started to use the high chair at 5 and half months as she was very able to sit upright alone and she had started eating Hipp Apple Puree. She loved sitting in the high chair and I remember how much she giggled and kicked her legs with excitement at using it. The highchair has a safety harness to strap your child into the high chair so that they cannot wriggle out and through the bottom.

The actual chair of the high chair with the Winnie The Pooh is made of a vinyl plastic material which is great for all the little spills you ultimately get when your child is first starting to eat solid foods. The tray is also easy to clean. But do be aware that if you do drop food onto the wood it will need to be cleaned off straight away as if you leave it, it makes it too hard to get back off again. I was forever cleaning the wood! There is nothing worse than a dirty looking highchair.

The design is unisex - it is a light green background with Winnie The Pooh in the middle with flowers and butterflies surrounding him. It is really nice.

This height chair does not adjust to height. It stays in the one position. I think there is a slightly updated version now which you can adjust the height with and also recline the seat though why you would want to recline a high chair I will never know as surely that is dangerous when a child is eating?

My daughter used this highchair from when she was 6 month to 2 years old mostly because she outgrew Winnie the Pooh. When she was about a year and a half we turned the high chair into the little table and chair set which she loved though it did give her the opportunity to walk off during meal times. The table is great when it is done as a table and chair set as my daughter would sit down and do some drawing etc at it. So this isn't just for meal times.

This highchair isn't particularly easy to store. You cannot fold it flat; once it is built it has to stay built which is a bit of an annoyance. Luckily we had somewhere to store it but it did take up a fair bit of room.

All in all it is a very good quality highchair and definately worth the money. My daughter was always safe and secure in it and I never worried about her falling out. The only downside is the storage part but I can overlook that for my daughter's safety and comfort.
