My granddaughter had terrible problems with colic. It would make her cry for hours in the evenings and it seemed like nothing could help her. My daughter was very concerned and a friend of her sugested she try these bottles as they help to reduce colic. She thought it was worth giving it a go and it was a good job she did as they definitely seemed to help.

What is different with these bottles is that they have a built in air flow so that the amount of air that a baby takes in when feeding is chanelled out. It is the intake of air during feeds which lead to colic. The anti colic air flow in this is a little tube in the middle of the bottle. It isn't hard to put together at all, it takes about 20 seconds to do it all even for me so that's how easy it is!

The bottles are very clearly marked so it's easy to see where to put the milk up to and it's quite a wide bottle so nice to hold. It holds up to 8oz which is plenty. You can buy them in other sizes too. You can buy different teats so a faster flowing one for when they are older. You can also buy replacement parts if need be.

My granddaughter definitely seemed to be less upset in the evenings once she started on these bottles instead so I think that they definitely helped her.

They are cleaned by being sterilised and they are very robust bottles. After a few months they may become a little discoloured and then really you should replace them.

They cost £5 each, sometimes slightly more but it is worth it if it means your little one is more comfortable.

A great baby bottle which reduces colic and wind pain for your baby - cant put a price on that

The Dr Browns bottles have a patented anti colic system built into them which is meant to reduce the chances of your baby having colic and trapped wind. These bottles are definitely worth every penny. They are not so wide spread at the minute but are becoming more and more popular in all the big baby stores. They are the higher end of the price scale and although a lot of the time you can find good bulk deals with other baby brands such as Tomy Tippee and Avent where you get bottles, steriliser, teats and travel systems all for one low price, I know many people who have brought these and then changed to Dr Brown's soon after costing them double!
The bottles are very easy to put together and although the replacement teats are quite expensive they last a good while and can sometimes be found on offer.
Can't praise these bottles enough as it meant no tears and gripe pain for my little girl and feeding time.
