Not as good as most people say they are (Dr Brown's Natural Flow Bottle)

I tried these bottles when my son had colic at about 6 weeks old when he'd cry all evening and nothing would soothe him or make him feel better. I was fortunate that a friend lent me their old bottles to try before I bought some myself and I was glad that she did. I didn't get on with them at all.

The design of the bottle is really comfortable to hold and my son didn't refuse to drink from it. However the biggest downside I found was that it is just so complicated to put together and to wash it. The first time it took me around 10 minutes to figure out which bit goes where (granted I still had a bit of baby brain through lack of sleep but I'm fairly intelligent). And washing them is a real palaver.

In my son's case they didn't make any difference and he was still crying after each feed and difficult to wind. I stopped using them and switched to infacol which worked a treat.

It's also worth finding out whether they will fit in your steriliser, they didn't fit in my microwave one so had to buy some tablets and use cold water sterilisation.

Although I didn't like them my friend thought they were great. However if you can borrow some to try first I'd recommend it because they are a lot more expensive than regular bottles (can't remember how much though think it was around £19 for 2??)

Summary: These made no difference to my son's colic and were fiddly to put together
