WHAT IS IT?
A 250ml tall baby bottle made by designer Ed Hardy.
A yellow lid and collar with an Ed Hardy design on the bottle. The numbers and measurement line are printed in yellow and even though that is a light colour it's easy to see because of the darker colour used in the picture on the other side. The image is of a bulldog and the Ed Hardy logo is very visible on the front of the bottle. This was a gift when my daughter was born in June and it's not the style of bottle I would have chosen myself because I am not a lover of Ed Hardy.
WHAT I THINK
This is a very disliked bottle, it costs £10 for a single bottle and it is not a good quality bottle. The bulldog image is striking but that is not the main concern for a baby bottle, it is very thin feeling and is the same as bottles I have used from the 99p store in construction. It leaks because the teat is very basic with no vent or anti leak hole, if the bottle just turns upside down in my changing bag the milk will leak into the lid and drips down the side of the bottle because the lid doesn't fit very well.
It doesn't feel very comfortable to hold because it is so long and thin, I had to buy a new bottle cleaning brush when I received this because my one wouldn't fit down the very narrow neck of the bottle. The colour hasn't come off when washing and sterilising but the D of Hardy looks like it is about to start chipping.
My daughter didn't like the teat that came with the bottle but I bought a clear latex one and she'll drink from it now, they are a standard fit for the small teats so you do not need to hunt out teats even though the bottle itself is unbranded.
2 Dooyoo Stars.
This is another product I bought from the Ed Hardy Black Tiger baby product range for my baby son, again I chose something that my son couldn't "grow out of" so wouldn't be a waste of money which is why I went for a designer baby bottle rather than clothing.
The bottle is 250ml in size which is still suitable for my son since at 5 months old as he is still only on 180ml bottles, it is a plastic bottle with measurment markers which indicate both ml's and ounces up the side. The bottle is tall and thin rather than small and wide. It has quite a small teat and a black plastic lid. Althought the actual teat of the bottle looks small, the whole in the top is a little bigger than all of the other kinds of bottles i've used so my son always finished his milk a lot quicker when he drinks from this bottle.
Considering this is a designer baby bottle, I think the quality of it is quite poor. The black plastic lid that goes on the top of the bottle doesn't secure properly so when I go to shake it before feeding my son, I end up with milk splashed all over my hands. So now when I shake the bottle I have to make sure i'm holding the lid on tightly at the same time. I've used cheaper bottles that were of better quality which is disappointing since this one is designer.
This bottle is available on amazon.co.uk for £9.99 and it is a very trendy little bottle, it's just a shame that the lid on it isn't very secure.
