Advantages: Mess free painting.

Disadvantages: Little choice of colour.

Mrs Picasso must have not had it easy when her little Pablo started painting with such enthusiasm - the cleaning that poor woman must have had to do....!

Well, I surely count my lucky stars that I can find products like the bright Easy Painters at the Early Learning Centre.

This morning my very own little Pablo unscrewed for the first time the lids of his 4 new bottles of Easy Painters - I wish I could have painted his smile!

He played and painted with them for over 30 minutes (he is not 3 yet) and not a stain, smudge or drop of paint in sight, everything went on his canvass! Brilliant! This would not happen with finger paint (for obvious reasons) and with brush paint (too much water involved).

These paints are presented in firm plastic bottles and a sponge tips to let the paint out. The mixture is ready to use in the bottle so there is no need for extra water. The child can apply the paint by pressing on the bottle and letting the paint go through the sponge tip. Assuming the bottle is not squeezed too hard, the paint won't leak and therefore no cleaning will be required. They are easy to grab and use. The paint won't dry out if the lids are well screwed back on.

The colour choice is not enormous, he has the bright pink, orange, yellow and green. I think there is a choice of 2 boxes with 4 different colours so far. You can also get bigger size bottles individually.

I've haven't seen these, but will certainly keep an eye out when next in ELC...DO the paints last long without drying up?
