Thermos Baby Bottle Warmer by Fisher Price

I love to be out and about with Jack and I think lots of fresh air helps him have a much better nights sleep. I am especially trying t walk off all that excess baby weight that I have put on but I have been finding feeding fairly difficult if I am just out for a walk. It is not too bad doing a feed if I have gone out to a restaurant or somewhere where they can give me a jug of boiling water so I can drop his bottle in but if I am out walking and he gets hungry then I was really stuck for what to do until that is I came across this thermos flask.

I was browsing items on Amazon that I could spend some vouchers that I had received and that is when I came across this. Fisher price have made a thermos flask that is pretty much the same as any thermos you would usually get but instead of having a small cup to use it comes with a rather large plastic beaker that is just the right size to fit a feeding bottle in.

It set me back a mere £10 with the added cost of £2.20p on postage and packaging but for what you are getting I think this price is really good. Not only can I use it now to take out for warming Jack’s bottles but once he is not drinking milk anymore I could always use it for my own drinks to be kept hot! Thermos’s are usually pretty pricey so when I saw how little this one cost I didn’t mind parting with my money!

The item arrived two days after I had ordered it and I was really impressed with what I saw. To look at the thermos you are basically seeing a product that stands around 30cm in height and has a see-through blue plastic beaker screwed on to the main body of the thermos. When this is removed you will see the silver metal of the flask itself which has a purple plastic bottom and a blue plastic stopper in the top.

Inside the thermos there were pretty basic instruction but perfect for knowing all you need to know. The leaflet gives information on how exactly to use the thermos flask. The fresh boiled water is poured into the thermos flask and then the blue cap is screwed back on. The screw cap also has a couple of push buttons on the top, one that reads open and one that reads close. Once the flask is filled with the water to be able to pour out that water without unscrewing the cap all you need to do is push in the open button and this will allow the water to be poured from the cap rather than straight out of the flask. This really ensures a better pour and is far safer in my opinion. Once you have poured all the water you require all you need do is push in the close button and this will seal off the pouring spout and make the whole unit secure again.

This flask is so simple and easy to use and it really has made my life a lot easier and I now don’t have to worry about being at home or in a place that will be able to supply me with a jug of boiled water. Jack can have his feeds on the beach when we are out for one of our lovely walks!

Inside the flask with the leaflet came a bit of a flyer about fisher price and it says that they received the Mother & Baby award for best feeding product but I am not too sure if it is this product that won the award or another one from their feeding range. Fisher Price also won the award from Mother and Baby for Excellence. This all proves what a great company they are and that their products are recognised as such.

It does state that before use the whole thermos and beaker does need to be washed in warm soapy water and rinsed well. But this is standard when buying any sort of item like this. Unfortunately the item is not dishwasher safe but then I wouldn’t of thought a thermos would be. The flask should also not be put in the microwave.

The water that I have put in the flask seems to really stay boiling hot for quite some hours of course I have only been out a relatively short period of time but it has been piping hot when I have needed it to be. I have found using the flask by pouring out the water to be very easy and I have had no problems with leaking or such like.

To give this product a 10/10 score is surely only what it deserves and I would recommend it to all mums and dads alike. I have already told a couple of my friends who are pregnant at the moment to get one, as they are a real treasure to have in the cupboard.

Summary: a great thing to have

Super idea...I often found it difficult going for walks or to the park when my son was little as he wouldn't accept his bottle cold...my daughter was breastfed so didn't have that problem :-)
