Bottle warmer thats not got my vote (Fisher Price Bottle Warming Flask)
Member Name: dustmad
Advantages: ok for out and about if you have no other option Disadvantages: takes ages to warm a bottle When I was pregnant expecting my first baby in 2007, one of my friends gave me a Fisher Price bottle warming flask. I was most greatful, and looked forward to being able to use it. Unfortunately, when it actually came to the using it part, I was most disapointed with it. It is a flask that is designed for you to use when out and about and you need to warm up a bottle for your baby. You fill the flask with boiling water, tighten the cap, and then screw the plactic lid over the top. It is spill free, and no matter how it is thrown on to your bag, it will not leak. So that was good. But the biggest fault that I found was that it took so long to warm the bottle up. At one point it took about 10 minutes to get the bottle to a warm temperature. The plastic lid is designed for you to pour the boiling water into, and then place the bottle into it. I found that the lid would not hold very much of the boiling water around the bottle, which is why it would take so long to heat up. Its ok if you have no other option, and you allow long enough for the bottle to warm up, but I wouldn't rave over it. Summary: Fisher price bottle warmer has a thumbs down from me |
