The Graco mirage travel system cost me £152 including the optional extra of rain cover, and being in the north east of Scotland it was a must!. That was two years ago but i don't think the price has changed. I can tell you that it is one of the best investments i've made. My daughter left hospital in her car seat (bearly 9 hours old) and has hardly gone a day without being in it.

You get the car seat which fixes securly to the buggy, is easy to strap into the car, and does birth to 9 months.
The buggy is sturdy and glides along most surfaces. It can be fully controlled with one hand, which is extremley useful when getting in and out of doors. The wheels can be swivel or locked. The seat can be upright or flat, but it is possible to have an in between position if you fold the material under at the head of the seat. I don't think they ment it to do this - but it does. This is handy if your baby is sleeping but can't lie flat.
My only gripe about it is the safety catch to fold it down can be a bit tricky. Always show any baby sitters how to fold it because its tricky.
All the covers come off and can be put in the machine.
Our buggy has covered many miles and as we are very active has encountered different terrains. It puts up with much abuse and still it went strong, that was until last week when the back wheel fell off. Disaster!. I didn't really need a new buggy because we are using it less and less, and I hate cheap umbrella type buggies. What was I to do? But it was Graco to the rescue, an after I e-mailed them, I am now awatitng a replacement wheel and FREE fittings. Cheers Graco. I can't recommend this buggy enough, If not this model then deffinatly choose Graco.
