Advantages: Ease of use - Good accessories - easy to fold down - confy for baby or toddler
Disadvantages: expensive ( but worth it for accessories) !
We already had a pram/travel system (a second hand one off friends)! But we went to babies r us for an autobase for the car and came out £229.99 down! Purely because we saw this travel system and fell in love with it!
The lovely lady in babies r us showed us all the special funky little moves this travel system makes! First (and most importantly for anyone who knows what a struggle it can be putting a buggy down when getting on a bus etc) this travel system needs only one (yes one) hand to do it! It takes a quick click and twist and the travel system is down! BRILLIANT! Although I say this is handy for public transport due to the size of the buggy it is very heavy compared to other buggys so you could srtuggle lifting it onto a bus or train (unless you have friendly drivers)!
Next is the one click autobase that comes free with the system! Put it in your car once (very easy to put in with arrows on the base to show you the way!) and then you just pop the car seat into it and check the belt is tight enough and you're away! The autobase also has a stand which stands on the floor of your car adding to the security. It doesn't move at all whilst the car is in motion!
Another handy feature is the push down basket at the bottom so if you are in a rush to get something out of it and whatever you want is too big too squeeze out you can just pull a lever and the basket collapses!
Also free with your purchase is a handy pram/changing bag with a box for wipes or nappy bags and a compact (easy to fold) changing mat oh and a rain cover and a cosy toes for winter time, which looks lovely and snug! The changing bag is great and is full of little pockets to store just about everything you need for a day out with your baby! There is even an insulated side pocket, which helps keep babys bottles cold or warm (though doesn't last for more than a couple fo hours)! The bag comes in coordinating colours with pram! This bag clips easilt onto the andles of the buggy and doesn't at all get in the way of you walking and pushing the buggy!
So really everything you could want in a pram! Even the car seat (in which 3-6 month old babies can sit in) has an extra clip to clip it into the pram so it is extra safe!
The wheels at the front can be made to move loosely(for over normal tar mac) and can be tighter for easier monouvering over gravel and grass (BRILL IDEA)!
By the handle there is two drink compartments for the parent and a click down compartment in which I store my mobile phone and keys! The actual buggy has space for a childs cup as well!
<<<<RAIN RAIN GO AWAY>>>>
The pram covers are brown suede so it is a good job that the pram comes with a rain cover. this is probably one of the only qualms I have about the pram - mind you it hasn't been damaged at all so far by spits of rain!
The buggy is suitable from birth up to about the age of 4 and so far looks pretty sturdy and durable!
I would strongly recommend this travel system and so would my son (if he could speak yet)!
Summary: Quite bulky but easy to fold down
