Advantages: Very nice to look at, baby looked very comfortable, nice to push
Disadvantages: dangerous, difficult to get up kirbs, front seat stays very upright
I bought a Graco Stadium Duo Deluxe buggy just before my daughter was born, at the time my son was 19 months old, and I felt he still needed to use the buggy enough to warrant buying a double buggy.
The buggy looks fantastic, the seats are well padded, and back seat lies perfectly flat, and there is even a little bit you can velcro across at the bottom of the seat that makes it into a kind of mini-pram. The front seat doesn't lie back very much, but I felt that this would be ok, as my son very rarely slept in the daytime when I bought it. The Fabric is a nice colour, and it looks more expensive than it is. The shoppping basket is roomy, and there is a footrest in the middle for the child in the back seat. It is also a dream to push. These are all the good points I can think of, and the bad far outweigh the good.
It is quite a heavy buggy, and with an older child in the front, it can be a nightmare to get up and down kirbs, and a huge effort to get up and down stairs. (I live on the second floor, in a block with no lift, and it used to exhaust me). The chassis is not exactly strong. Mine lasted for 3 months before the chassis bent to such an extent that it was unusable, and very dangerous. (It looked as if it was going to snap). I was told by Graco that I was obviously putting too much weight in it, which is incorrect, as my son was quite small for his age at 19 months, and my daughter was a newborn at the time. I never used it for going shopping (there would have been no way I could have got it up the stairs with kids + shopping in it). So there was no way it was ever overloaded.
It is probably ok if you never have to get it up and down any stairs, but in my opinion it can be extremely dangerous if you do.
I now have a side-by-side twin buggy, and have been using it for 7 months now, bouncing it up and down the stairs with both kids and the shopping in it, and it is still going strong. Ok so I have to take kids, shopping and
everything out of the buggy and fold it down before I can get it into the house (we have narrow doorways), but at least my kids are not at risk.
I have had a few buggies in my time and this is the only one I have ever had problems with, I would not recommend it to anyone.

I've never been a fan of Tandems - too heavy at the front. The only one I have ever liked to push is the Silver Cross Wayfarer, now sadly obsolete. It was designed so that the handle frame continues to the front of the buggy, thus easing the job of kerb-climbing!
