I recieved a free Heinz baby basic spoon in my weaning pack and it was the best item in there. There made of an incredably soft and flexiable plastic which is very kind on baby gums and also makes getting the food on the spoon easier. There design means there shallow enough for baby to get the food off the spoon but not so flat that it all falls off ,and because there made of orange coloured plastic you don't notice the staining for tomato/carrot based foods like you do on other soft weaning spoons. When baby gets to the stage of trying to feed themselves these spoons (and the first cutlery set) are ideal as the lettering on the handles are made of the soft ... Read the complete review

I was sent one of these spoons through the post from Heinz as they were launched onto the market and couldn't wait for my baby to start weaning so I could try it out. I think they are the best spoons on the market and made from a rubber like material. With my other children I used just normal weaning spoons which are quite hard on their tiny gums, but obviously Heinz have realised this and come up with these brilliant spoons. They are very flexible and make feeding so much easier, you can only describe the material as rubber like and you really need to feel these for yourselves, they must be so much kinder to babies gums I just wish they had come on the market ... I have to admit that I don't completely share everyone elses enthusiasm for these but I do like them. I got one in my Bounty weaning pack and it is made out of a wonderful soft plastic and isn't harsh or charp for younghands and mouths. I find, however, that the spoon seems quite deep. I suppsoe it's just because I'm used to using the long handles flatter spoons from Tommee tippee but neither Jake ir I seem to get on too well with these Heinz ones. I am trying it more often now though to try to acclimatise him to more normal shaped cutlery. It's excellent too for cleaning out a bowl properly ( and my son likes to have as much out of the ... I really love these spoons I got the first one in our bounty pack and we have required several since. They are like having a spatsular (sp?) and you get every last drop with ease. Also you dont worry about hurting baby's mouth as they are so soft and bendy. I gave a friend of mine a set of these spoons and some bowls from Heniz when she had her first baby and though she thanked me I could see she found it a weird gift. 6 months later she wrote me a lovely letter saying that now she truly appriciated what a great gift it was ;o) and she just adored them. Heinz also do these in a slightly harder version that my now 2.5 year old daughter loves I ... Read the complete review

These spoons are great, they are soft, flexable and easy for little hands to hold! I got a few different types of spoons when I was pregnant through bounty packs, the best ones were the baby basics range by Heinz. They are good for getting the last bits of food out of any bowl and likewise with the tiny fromage frais pots!! The ones I still use, even though my daughter is 1!, are from 4 months, as she is still getting used to metal ones! Heinz do a range for older babies, with handles slightly shaped so when they start feeding themselves, it sort of aimes it toward their mouth's!! but I preferred the 4 month spoons. Tesco's are ...
