“ Brand: Imse Vimse / Type: Breast Care Supplies „
These are washable breast pads.
They are quite expensive to buy initially, but you're going to be needing them for at least a few months so they do work out cheaper than buying disposable ones. If your only consideration is the price though, it's probably worth waiting to find out how much you really need to wear breast pads - some women don't leak much after the first week or so.
They're about the same size as most disposable ones, but thicker.
They are soft and comfortable when you first wear them, because they are cloth, not paper. However, disposable breast pads absorb the moisture better - these can feel quite wet.
They are better for the environment than constantly throwing away disposable pads (especially if you're going to use them for 2 or 3 children and then pass them on).
They just go in the normal wash and can be tumble dried if you want (not so good for the environment though). However I found that they came out all screwed up - I had to flatten them under some books or even iron them.
The main problem is that you can see the outline of them through a bra and tee-shirt - its kind of obvious that you have a bit of cloth stuffed in each cup! So ok for winter babies ...
100% cotton breast pads, made from 4 layers of soft, absorbent chemical free flannel (the same as brushed cotton) which is really luxuriously soft and comfortable. Fits any style of bra. One size. Washes at up to 90 C, and can be tumble dried.
