Imse Vimse is a Swedish made nappy. It is a shaped nappy, rather than a flat rectangle, and I received one to try to see how I got on. I found the flannelette version I recieved to be very slim fitting, and as there is no Velcro or Aplix on it, it was either pin it or fold it up inside a snug fitting wrap as a nippa (a new gadget you use instead of pins) won't grip smooth fabric. I don't use pins, so I found a Prorap brand wrap works especially well with this nappy as the legs and back are gusseted, containing any leaks that may escape this nappy. This is a lovely slimline washable nappy. Stays soft after washing, and as it has no fastenings of its own is infinitely adjustable. I fasten mine using a nappy nippa which works just fine. What I'm very impressed with is that it has been pooed on a lot (she likes doing those messy poos that go everywhere!) and yet it has never stained. The nappy has a sewn in booster pad, which is only attached at one end so you fold it to provide extra absorbency where your child wets the most, making it fine for girl or boy. Because it is quite slim it also fits well under clothes ...

I'm a recent convert to re-usable nappies and I have sought a lot of advice from the UK Parents Cloth Nappy forum (yes, there is such a thing!!) I wanted to try out several different types of nappy and found a sale and swap board where I managed to purchase, amongst other thing, 3 Imse Vimse re-usable nappies. They are a Swedish one size soft brushed 100% natural cotton flannelette nappy, which can be folded to fit from new-born to potty training. This nappy is very soft it has a thicker central strip with extra layers of flannelette for extra absorbency, and an inner flap again of several thicknesses. The inner flap can be folded to suit boy/girl, and ...
