WHAT IS IT?

A cereal bowl shaped and designed to look like a pigs face.  It is not very big so best suited for younger children but the design would be suitable for any pig lover.

THE DESIGN

The bowl is made from melamine but it is very thin and that makes it feel fragile. The bowl is completely pink except for the pigs eyes, the rim of the bowl makes up the pigs head and it is a very basic shape but effective.  It's a cute pig but I don't know why it's called a funny pig, the ears stick out of the plastic and small children can tip the bowl if they grab ahold of one of these. I don't like the snout of the pig being in the bottom of the bowl because once this is covered in food the bowl doesn't look much like a pig until your child has finished eating and uncovers the snout again.

WHAT I THINK

I like the design of the bowl because I like pigs but it's a bit tacky.  The bowl is very shiny but doesn't feel like very good quality, that's a surprise because these bowls cost £8 each so I thought the plastic would be thicker.  It is big enough for small children or a jar of baby food but doesn't hold as much as you think it will because the rim is so wide that it makes the bowl look bigger.

My daughter has her ice cream in this pig bowl and this is all its used for now because now my girls have grown it is not big enough for stews or cereal, I will purchase proper weaning bowls when my baby daughter is old enough.  The bottom of the bowl is made of melamine too so it is slippy, when my daughter was young she knocked this off the table once so it's a bowl I only used when I was feeding her until she was older. I wash it in the dishwasher but you can't use it in the microwave for reheating food.
