Advantages: They work, discreet

Disadvantages: None

Leaky boobs and wet patches is not a good look so luckily for me I discovered nursing pads from Johnsons. Since having my daughter two weeks ago I have been blessed with this little problem, I say blessed because I love being able to feed her myself and will put up with all the "wet" side effects that this comes with!!

I actually received a sample of these breast pads whilst in hospital and was very glad of the recommendation. They are said to be even more absorbent with advanced leakage protection, a unique contour shape with a non slip adhesive strip. Breast pads are basically absorbent pads that fit inside your bra and soak up all the breast milk that leaks from your breasts. Until I had my baby I didn't realise just how important these were because I do get a great amount of leakage but these pads contain them all. Since wearing them I have not had any embarassing incidents with wet spots on my tops or the like! Apparently, according to the box the compact liner of the pads provides a high level of absorbency keeping moisture away from your delicate skin. Like I said, I have found the absorbency to be great and have not had any problems with irritated or red skin after use.

I find these pads fit very well into my bra and really do stay put all day. I think in part this is due to the adhesive sticky bits on the back that attach to the bra but I also think the contoured shape helps them stay in place too. To me it seems like these pads almost have a little indentation where the nipple goes to help the pad stay in place as well. The pad then fits nicely around the shape of the breast to keep the pads in place too.

Johnsons say these are very comfortable pads as they have an extra soft lining (yes I agree) and that they offer complete discretion. I definitely find that when wearing them I hardly notice I have them in and from outside my clothes they do not show which is great.

For a box of 30 pads it costs £3.49 from Boots which I think is quite a good deal. Plus if you are part of the Parenting Club at Boots you will receive extra points.
