Johnson's Breast Pads
Advantages: Protects over-sensitive nipples; excellent shape; no leaky accidents
Disadvantages: They don't come in a bigger box size!
Since giving birth to my son 11 months ago I can comfortably (and uncomfortably in some cases) say I have tried every pad on the market. I was blessed (in my baby's opinion) to have one breast which was overactive and so buying alot of pads was a must.
Other pads left me itchy, sore, didn't work, fitted oddly under my bra and were just plain useless. Until I found these in their pretty pink box!
The pads themselves feel reassuringly luxurious for a pad and are padded wonderfully. I like that they don't rustle when you handle them or feel like a mattress protector when you place them in your bra. They come in a box of 30 and each little pad has an adhesive label on it to make sure it doesn't slip. The cheapest I have found is Tesco for £1.99 but Mothercare can charge £2.99 I've found.
The best thing about these pads is that they are shaped not only to fit your breast but there is also an indent in the middle of each one for your nipple. This made wearing them a delight. Especially in the first few months my nipples were so oversensitive that every time anything touched or brushed them it felt like an electric shock went through my body. Other pads just flattened my nipples and were so thin I felt everything but the thickness of these pads combined with the nipple-indent made my life so much more comfortable.
These pads are thicker than most on the market but they are beautifully moulded and graduate to a thin edge so you aren't left looking like you have a huge flying saucer attached to each of your breasts. Other pads with the same thickness have been more like shapeless teabags quite honestly.
They never have! I have double HH cup breasts (TMI, maybe...sorry!) and I've never been let down once.
So bravo for Johnson and Johnson ~ they've made my breastfeeding life much better.
Summary: The "breast" pad on the market for supreme comfort and reliability.
