Advantages: Nice to push, Light, Stylish!

Disadvantages: A bit bulky, May get puncture!

I've got a Kingswood Duo Milia, which is a great three-wheeler. The first time I saw it in a magazine I just knew I had to have it and searched everywhere until I found a store which stocked Kingswood(which in N. Ireland is not very many). What really attracted me to this particular pram is that it has a carrycot attachment which makes it suitable from birth. At the time there were very few other three-wheelers on the market suitable for newborn babies- what did they expect you to do with them until they were 3/6months old?!

Perhaps I should not have got the version with the carrycot though, because my baby grew out of it very quickly and it was quite a bit more expensive with this attachment! It lays down almost flat anyway which probably would have been OK.

I love my three-wheeler because it is so nice to push- it's light and can go up kerbs and over rougher ground more easily than ordinary prams. When I'm out with it so many people comment on it and say they like it. It's also easy to fold down and fits in most car boots- I got it squeezed into a Micra once.

I have to say a few negative points about my buggy and three-wheelers in general though. My particular model doesn't have a large shopping basket underneath which I find annoying sometimes- it's hard even to get the changing bag under there! It is also slightly bigger than some of the other models around now and means it's harder to get it onto the bus. Mothercare now do smaller models which I wish had been out when I bought mine. Apart from that though, I would choose my Kingswood pram over another three-wheeler.

In general three-wheelers are great...except when you get a puncture! This has only happened to me once, and the tyre just needed a new inner tube. This would have been simple enough except that my partner managed to lose (yes LOSE) the wheel on the bus. We didn't get it back and were left with only two wheels and a bab
y too heavy to carry any distance.
Fortunately though, I emailed Kingswood and they sent us a new wheel- free of charge, which was a really nice gesture. So I'm now on the road again and will be using my three-wheeler happily ever after!
