Nipple cream works wonders (Lansinoh Lanolin)

Whilst breastfeeding my baby I feel very lucky that I managed to do it first time without having any sore nipples. The only time I got sore nipples was when my baby was about three months old and he kept falling asleep at the breast and then feeding and this carried on for hours some days. I think that my nipples got sore because the feeding seemed to be almost constant. I saw the Lansinoh cream for sore nipples in Mothercare and bought it for about four pound. The cream is good as it does not need to be washed off before next feeding your baby, which is good because my baby felt like he was constantly feeding at this stage. The cream really seemed to help my sore nipples and they seemed to be better within about one or two days. When my baby was feeding it did not seem to bother him if I had the cream on my nipples. However, I tried to ensure that I had wiped most of it off first and then re-applied. One tube of the cream will probably last you through your breastfeeding days with one baby, unless you have very sore nipples. The cream is easily absorbed, however, sometimes when it dried the cream could go a little flaky. It is easy enough to just wash off and reapply.
