“ Twin pushchair with reversible handle and seat position. One set swivel wheels. Lap strap. Suitable for dolls up to height of 40cm. Handle height 72cm „
We had been looking for a nice double buggy for my four year old daughter, but it seemed hard to find one that fitted all the criteria. We wanted one that had the seats behind each other, not side by side, as these are thinner and easier to fit in our corridor - which, of course, becomes a path or street as your little one pushes her dolls to the imaginary shops or park. It had to be sturdy, as my daughter has some behavioural problems and it would have to withstand being thrown across the room ! Then it had to look nice, be an attractive design and pleasing to the eye. Finally, it had to be affordable. Too many makers of dolls' pushchairs put price tags on them that are comparable to buying the same item for real babies ! We eventually found the Maclaren Duet Pushchair, which filled all the criteria above and was made by a well-known name. It was rather at the top end of the price range though, being £29.99, but we hoped it would be worth it. It was one of my daughter's favourite Christmas presents. It looks very nice, with a red and blue design, nice swivel wheels and the dolls fit in well. The handle can be flipped over, so you can push it with the dolls facing you or away from you, and the height of the handle can be adjusted too. It is suitable for dolls up to 40cms and children aged four and over. We bought it from Argos and the catalogue states it is exclusive to them and the GUS group.
