The Maclaren duette was everything I wanted from a double buggy. I had my first two kids 19 months apart and the oldest wasn't even walking!!! I needed a buggy which had independent seats which could be laid flat so that it was suitable for my newborn. It had to be as lightweight as possible 'cos two kids are heavy enough! It also had to be umbrella folding and as compact as possible to make it easy to lift in and out of the car. The Maclaren Duette was great, in practical colours and sturdy enough to be handed on to a friend once my kids had finally learnt to walk! Read the complete review

I would recommend it much more than a twin pushchair where the children sit behind each other as both have plenty of foot room and both can see all around them. Although this pushchair is heavy compared to a single, it is very easy and manoverable to push and fits through virtually every normal doorway. It comes complete with a raincover which fastens over the hood and baskets are provided underneath both seats but cannot be used very easily if the seats are lying ... Read the complete review
