Lightweight, Safe and Secure for baby make this still the best choice for me in baby transportation - whether from home to the shops or on a longer trip by plane or boat on holiday. Mclaren have kept their reputation and good share of the always competitive baby market because they have provided parents with a product that is value for money a well as being a good safe and comfortable buggy for our little ones. It is quite a while since I've used one for my children but the product is still the same and I still use this with nieces and friend's children. The buggy is so lightweight it for me is a brilliant item to go travelling with - folding up within minutes (easily done with one hand whilst holding baby & toddler with the other!)It is easily stored aboard the bus/train or plane until you reach your destination. I found this great to take on holiday and was used a lot on overseas hols. where baby could sit or lay underneath the parasol watching the world go by! Apart from the easy of use and its multi-positioning it also comes in a choice of colours/designs with a number of additonal & matched items if you wish to buy them. The rain cover is a must with the british climate not too cheap at £29 but essential for baby. The buggy I used in the most reclined position when my two eldest were strong enough in their backs (and after checking with the health visitor!)which was about 3 months. Both children used the buggy until they were two years or so. When my daughter arrived I decided to buy her something 'girly' after two boys but was very disappointed and again bought a McClaren! For me the Mclaren beats the others hands down and I would definitely recommend it to any new mums - at the end of the day anything that makes life a litte easier during those first few years is worth its weight in gold.

Saves the hassle of searching around for a buggy when your baby has outgrown it's pram. I bought it for my baby when he was first born and it will to him for a good 2 years. This pram has got to be one of the best about. It lays back for newborn and can be adjusted 5 times depending on baby's size and what position you want your baby to be in. You can either have it facing you or facing away. Very easy to fold down for getting in and out the car, but unfortunately a bit too bulky if you use public transport, this has got to be the only bad point really. Compared to other makes/styles it has got to be the most practical and comfortable and easy to assemble. Sometimes you can see a good pram but not like the look of it, this isn't the case with mclaren, it's a good pram with the looks that every new mother wants. I am very picky about colours etc but I couldn't help but fall in love with it. Unfortunately it is a very expensive pram, it comes completed with raincover, cosytoes and sunshade for £750. Which, obviously, not everyone can afford to buy. I was lucky and bought mine off a friend for only £100. Overall I am very pleased with it and would advise anyone to at least look at one. Prams can be very expensive but it's worth paying out for something that is going to last, that you can either use again or sell on. It is worth looking around for second hand - mine was in immaculate condition.

I bought this buggy when my son was about 6 months old.At the time my daughter was 21/2 years and her buggy was falling to pieces, so it was for both of them really. It was a little more expensive than most buggies I looked at but now I am so glad I paid the extra. It is realy hardwearing and after nearly 21/2 years and being on an aeroplane twice, it is still in very good condition. My only fault with it is the lye back on it.To lye your baby back you have to push the sides in and the clip it on the back this can be a little awkward as your baby gets bigger. It folds up realy easy and is very light to carry. It is a ideal option if you will be using public transport often.

        Disadvantages

I bought this buggy when my daughter was a year old its had 2 years of excellent service and is still in good working order. One of the reasons that I actually bought a buggy was due to the fact we were going on holiday and couldnt take her pram as it took up alot of space. I chose a Maclaren buggy due to the fact that it looked well made, other people recommended it and as we are both tall the height of the handles - no stooping over with this buggy. The buggy has 2 positions - up right and a lie back postion, its easy to get it into the lie back postion. It has swivel wheels so is great to steer around obsticales, you can set it to non swivel but I never have! The breakes are easy to do and they work! It's got the usual harness which can be adjusted very simply. You can collapse this buggy whilest holding a baby , I'd have a practise run at home first - I didnt, i was rescued by another Mum, who'd got one!! It's also fairly light weight so you can transport it on and off buses etc with out developing too many muscles. At £49.99 its not as cheap as other buggies but do they last as long? I'd definetly recommend it!

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

This is a great and versatile pushchair. I have used this type of buggy with both my children, I used a carrycot type first, then when they were old enough I wanted something lightweight and strong, at the same time safe for my children, I had a good look around first before I bought one, I finally saw the one I wanted in Mothercare world, all the others seemed too bulky or fussy and heavy. They are really easy to use, and open and shut in seconds, if you are like me and find the modern ones too fancy and complex to open and close then this type of pushchair is ideal. The maclaran stroller has usually got several choices of pattern that they come in, the pram itself cost me £39.99, I also chose this pram as it has a lie back feature which I wanted, I don't like to see cildren go asleep in their prams and their heads are flopping down because they can't lie back! I chose a black check style, I have now had it for 5 years, it still looks really good, the accessories can be expensive to buy like the raincover which cost £29.99 but is a modern raincover and when it opens it really has alot of cover over the buggy they are more rounded than the old style which seem more square. This stroller is ideal if you find other types of prams heavy as it is so light, it is really easy to carry and does not take up much space in hte boot of a car. so it has lots of great features .........lightweight .........versatile .........doesn't take much room up .........easy to open/close .........inexpensive .........reputable brand .........matching accessories .........lie back feature .........5 point safety harness .........swivel/fixed wheels A really good buy and very safe too, will last for years, suitable for children form ages 6 months up
