Advantages: Easy to use, durable

Disadvantages: Ribbon edges not soft enough

The MAM crystal soother saver is a clip with a ribbon on it, to which a soother can be attached and clipped onto the baby's clothing to prevent the soother from falling.

****What it looks like****

It has a see-through plastic clip on it to which a 6 inch ribbon is attached. At the end of the ribbon there is a flexible rubbery sort of ring to which the soother can be inserted into. The see through clip has a cute picture on it. One of the soother savers that I bought had a giraffe on it and the ribbon was yellow, red and white. The other had a lovely picture of two strawberries and it was pink, purple and white.

****What I liked about it****

* Very easy to use
* Keeps the soother in place
* Durability of the product
* Looks better than other soother savers

****What I dislike about this product****

* Never felt safe to let my baby sleep with it
* Edges of the ribbon not as soft as I would like it to be

****My experience****

My first baby was very fussy and cried all the time. There was nothing that would keep her happy for more than 5 minutes. When we had tried everything we could think of and were desperate for a solution my mother suggested that I give her a pacifier. That evening my husband went and got her a pacifier. After being introduced to the pacifier she was a very happy baby and we were very happy too.

The next problem started when her pacifier kept falling out all the time! When I was out buying diapers I saw the MAM crystal soother savers and got 2 for my little girl. One of it costs around 3 Pounds. When I got home I tried it immediately and it was so easy to use and once clipped stayed in place.

With my second daughter already knowing that we MUST have a soother saver I had already bought one before even buying her a soother. This time I used one soother saver that my daughter used and I bought another new one. Compared the two I have now, I still like the MAM soother saver. The new one looked very nice before I removed the packing, the ribbon looks of cheap quality and the clip is slightly too big and makes my baby feel uncomfortable. So I mostly end up using the old one and wish I hadn't lost the second one which my eldest daughter was using.
I once accidently sterilized my soother saver with the ring still on and the ring got spoiled, beware not to do that as the ring melts for the heat.

Summary: A must have if your baby uses a soother.

We have one of these - it is great but I take it off before he goes to bed.

DD2 never took to a dummy, she wanted her thumb instead. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing lol. I can't lose the thumb
