I had a lot of trouble choosing the 'perfect' highchair for my son who is 6 months old. Like everything, there are so many to choose from on the market and all with different functions. I chose the Futura eventually because a friend had one that she had used for 3 children and it was still going. My criteria was that I needed a highchair that could be positioned low so I could feed my son from the settee, high for feeding at the table, provide enough support for a child who can't quite sit up by himself, being able to fold it away (and of course, price). WHY AM I WRITING THIS? I have just purchased this highchair, but had to write an opinion as I am soo impressed so far! If I change my mind I will update this opinion - but I have a good feeling on this one! COST (IMPORTANT THAT! AND LOOK OF CHAIR) The chair is £59.99 (I bought mine from Argos) and is constructed of very sturdy plastic (all in attractive pastels) there is a lovely padded pvc insert which makes your baby look so snug and supported (it looks like the sort of thing that you get with wicker chairs, but more padded and solid). When looking for a highchair we really didn't know what type we wanted, so we visited a local baby shop (not one of the well-known ones) to ask for advice. We looked at several, but decided on the "Futura" because it looked attractive and seemed sturdy. The man in the shop demonstrated how strong it is by sitting on it! It's both a high and low chair; it has seven different height positions which is useful if you're sitting on a low chair yourself to feed your child.
