Advantages: only takes minutes, free bottles, easy to use

Disadvantages: very hot

I brought the Maws microwave steriliser when i was pregnant as it seeme d like the best one around with the four free bottles and bottle brush.

The steriliser fits nicely into the microwave and needs no sterilising tablets so it is there are no hidden extra costs unlike the coldwater sterilisers. It takes eight minutes to sterilise and all you need to do is add the cleaned bottles and some water, there is a section in the bottom of the steriliser for water so you cannot put in too much or too little.

It takes eight minutes for the bottles to be sterilised and it can get really hot once finished in the microwave so it is advisable to leave it for a few minutes before removing as it does hurt if you try and get it out too quickly...trust me!!

I paid £21.99 for mine and thought this was a great price as it includes the bottles priced at around £5 for two and a bottle brush priced around £2. The bottles include a 'heat sensor' strip which is supposed to determine how hot the bottle contents is, they did not actually work for me as they said the bottle was too hot when in fact the milk inside was still cold. I reccommend to buy other bottles and don't rely on this heat sensor strip as it does not work!

The maws steriliser is a definate must buy as you can make your bottles really quickly without having too rinse off any sterilising fluid, the bottles are ready to use. Once the steriliser has been put on the contents only stays sterile for three hours and after that would need to be done again.
This is a hassle free bottle steriliser, a god send when you have kids!
