Advantages: Easy to use formula, resembles breast milk, delicious cereals

Disadvantages: None

The reason why I choose this baby formula from the rest is because when my daughter was 4 months old she was in hospital where she had her first bottle and they had given her this formula. The hospital recommended this so its the first thing I bought and never even thought of giving the others a go.

For me, i was more familiar with the brands of Cow and Gate and SMA so I was unsure when I had never heard of Milupa but still had confidence from being recommended by nurses in the maternity hospital. The Milupa company was actually set up in Germany in 1921 so they have some expertise to say the least!

One box of this formula costs about 13 euro and is available in pharmacies and supermarkets. There are three different stages depending on your childs own age. They also have toddler milk but I prefer just to give my daughter ordinary cows milk so I cant comment on this. It was very important to me that I would get the best for my daughter and I believe ts formula achieved that.

The formula comes in a blue box. Included in a box of formula is a spoon for easy measuring for baby bottles and there is also a blue bar that goes across one corner of the box and this is used for topping off the excess powder on the spoon. I thought this was ingenious because I remember my mother having to level the spoon with a knife when my brother was younger so this is a fantastic invention! This formula is supposed to be as close to breast milk as possible. This was a comfort knowing that it was of excellent standard to give my daughter.

I have also used their cereal ranges when my daughter was weaning and they tasted really good. My daughter loved them too! They came in such a wide variety of flavours but my daughters favourite was Sunshine Orange. She had this almost every morning and it really helped her get into the routine of breakfast time. As well as provide her with the well needed vitamins young babies must get daily. The cereals cost about 3 euro and I found them more available in supermarkets than actual pharmacies.

My daughter feeded really well on this formula and I never had any problems with it. I'd advice you to have a look at their website if you undecided about what formula to use. They go over all the in's and out's of everything you'll need to know to make your decision. As for the cereal if you have a child about 6 months old you should treat them to Sunshine Orange!
