Advantages: pots of powder sauces

Disadvantages: price and range varies a lot dependant on what store you are in!

Has nobody noticed the Milupa range of baby food?
Well, I have to admit that most places I go it is £2.09 a packet but in Morrisons it is olny £1.49. That's a big saving and it works out good value at that.
The range of foods is limited a bit. They do a few sweets which I haven't tried, well, Jake hasn't tried (the sugar thing) and a few savouries but Jake absolutely ADORES the Leek & Mushroom Risotto. Surprising really, I think it smells foul, but then I don't like leeks and hubby doesn't like leeks or mushrooms. Obviuosly, Jake is less fussy! It's a 6m+ recipe but there are no lumps in it (someone tell Sadie!)
Milupa also do a cheese sauce and a gravy. They both come in tubs and you just mix with hot water. I use them all the time for meat and veg or pasta. It's so much easier to makemy own recipes with left over tuna in water or brocolli when I can just add it to baby pasta and cheese sauce made especially for babies!! they cost about £1.95 a pot
My larder is never without the 2 sauces and a pack of leek risotto!

Thanks Trace !! I am reluctant to buy 6mth foods due to the lumps as I end up opening them and then not using them, perhaps I will give this one a go, Jack loves leeks !!
