Advantages: Sleep Bra - comfy and easy to feed baby

Disadvantages: Feeding Bra - hard to unzip and ugly

I bought two bras from Mothercare with very different results in terms of comfort and feeding. During my pregnancy, I used a sleep bra which was soft, comfortable with no underwiring and absolutely wonderful. This bra progressed from night to day wear, although my washing machine was worn out, only having the one item.

I eventually ignored all of those stories about bust support and the need for wiring etc "otherwise you'll droop after the birth". I just loved wearing this bra.

Once baby was born, I sped back to Mothercare for a nursing bra. I was measured and then chose a pretty horrendous bra with a zip under each cup. This bra was itchy, difficult to operate (in terms of unzipping without catching flesh at the same time) and badly fitted. I also found that, when baby is hungry, I just couldn't shuffle my blouse and unzip quickly enough. It was a very unflattering bra and I felt constricted and unattractive wearing it.

I soon dug out my old faithful sleep bra and found that my comfort was restored and I could just "pop" myself out in 1 second, as and when baby needed feeding.

My bust hasn't drooped, and I'm in my thirties, so hardly a spring chicken.
