Advantages: It can change into a chair and table!

Disadvantages: No harness or seat padding included

When i was looking for a high chair for my daughter Aimee i wanted to get one that would convert to a seperate chair and table as all of you with children will know before you know it they have outgrown the thing you only bought them last week! I looked around my town centre and i only managed to find 2 of the kind that i was looking for! One of which was a winnie the pooh cube highchair and was nearly £20 more expensive than the mothercare one! So we decided to buy the mothercare one!

HOW MUCH IS IT?

I got mine from one of the stores so it cost me £44.99. But if you opt to buy it over the internet at mothercares website which is www.mothercare.co.uk you will have to pay postage & packaging. Which is £4.95 (standard uk delivery) which should see your highchair delivered within 4 working days. But the £44.99 you are paying i just for the high chair! It does not include the padded insert for the chair. Which is very much needed because the highchair is solid pine and is therefore uncomfortable for your baby to be sitting on whilst getting fed. The insert for the chair costs an additional £8.99 and comes in a variety of colours and designs. Another thing that doesnt come with the high chair is a harness. Which is essential for holding your child secure and upright in the chair especially when your child is younger. I would also suggest buying a splashmat if you are going to be using the highchair over carpet. As my daughter tends to be very messy when eating and if i didnt have laminate floor my flooring would be ruined as loadz of food ends up getting chucked onto the floor.

SIZES & ABILITY TO STORE/TRANSPORT

The overall size of the highchair is 92 x 44 x 21cm. Which isnt too bad compared to other high chairs. But as this is a covertible highchair it does not fold down like other highchairs as the table & chair are solid structures. Which means that you cannot fold it down to store or to transport.

ADVANTAGES

* This will last your child from approx 4mnths - 5yrs old as it converts itno a low level table and chair.
* As it will last for so long you will be able to use it for your next child if you decide to have one!
* It has an adjustable wipe clean plastic tray that can be removed completely if need be.
* As it is solid pine it is very durable. And can withstand all the damage that a child can throw at it!
* It is very easy to convert as the chair section just lifts out of the table base.

DISADVANTAGES

* As it is a solid unit it cannot fold down to be easily stored or transported.
* It does not come with any of the necessary parts eg padded insert, harness.
* You may need to use a pillow or some sort of padding to gaurd your babys head on the back of the chair as even with the insert that you can buy it does not cover the whole back of the seat.

All in all i would recommend this high chair even though after purchasing all the necessary bits it comes to £67.46. It is worth it as this is a sound ivestment and will last you for years!

I hope that this information is of use to those of you considering buying this highchair.

Thanks for reading. x

Summary: A sound investment!

We bought this chair too. It lasted through 2 children, until I decided to do some baking with my eldest and thought the table would be just the right height for him to knead some dough in a bowl. The table split right down the middle under the pressure! Thanks for you r/r/c on my Take That review. I got some pictures and video too. I posted some of them on my Ciao review - my username is AnitaM over there if you want to have a look. I was pleased with how they came out especially as I was halfway back. I wished I'd videoed Relight My Fire though. I thought that performance was excellent.
