Advantages: looks sturdier than plastic high chairs. Multifunctional/ Good price!

Disadvantages: Would be nice to have a safety harness/padded seat included.

When our first son was born 4 years ago my mum, 'excited to get into nanny mode' purchased this Mother care high chair for us costing £49.99.
We were living in a one bedroom flat at the time, not having much space, it was important for us to have multifunctional furniture.
This high chair was ideal as it also converted into a table and chair for my son to use as he got older. I really liked the concept that the furniture adapted with the child.

THE HIGH CHAIR:

Comes as 'Flat pack' - It took my partner about 30 mins to assemble.

The chair slots into the side of the table creating the 'high chair'.

The high chair is made of solid rubber wood (with a pine finish)

It comes with a white plastic food tray which screws into the side of the chair arms. The food tray is a decent size and as with most food trays is easy to wipe clean after messy meals. It is also easy to remove and replace onto the chair.

The chair has crutch strap that hoops through a safety bar. There are also fittings for a safety harness. However you must purchase the actual safety harness separately (they cost around £7.99).
The high chair itself is very basic to look at however it is NOT unattractive (reminds me of the IKEA basic range).

DIMENTIONS OF THE HIGH CHAIR:

Highchair seat height: 57cm
Low chair seat height: 21cm
Low table Height: 42cm
Overall size: W47cm x D57cm x H89cm
Weight: 8KG

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE CHAIR:

My son first used the highchair aged just over 4 months. We found it very easy to place him in and out of the chair. We did purchase a harness for use in the chair but rarely used it as he was always supervised in the chair, and rather safe without it.

We also purchased a wipe clean padded seat for his added comfort. The padded seat cost £12.99 from Mother Care (I believe the price may have increased slightly since then), we chose a blue one with a colourful polka dot pattern (you can buy different designs to suit your own style).

My son happily used the high chair up to 16months when he became more independent. We then converted it into the table and chair. My son would not only eat his dinner at the 'big table' but also used it as a general desk for colouring, painting and puzzles. It was easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth.

OVERALL:

Both my children have made good use of this high chair. We have had it for 4 years now and it still gets used on a daily basis. They mainly use it as a colouring table now-days but in the summer we take it into the garden for picnics. I feel the price of the high-chair is great considering its many uses. If you want to invest in a solid practical product that will last for years - This is the high chair for you!

Summary: A solid piece of furniture that will last for many years.
