I recently bought a Mothercare Stay Warm Bowl for my son, but, I must admit to feeling a little unsatisfied by its safety. It has a stopper where the hot water is added but this is operated by pushing the button from beneath the bowl. On a number of occasions whilst carrying the bowl of food through to my son I have accidently pushed this button and spilt hot water over my hand. What concerns me more is that my little boy is now trying to grab the bowl and I am sure it is only a matter of time before he catches the button whether deliberately or accidently. Obviously the water needs to be warm enough to maintain the temperature of the food which would inevitably lead to a burn however slight on a child and therefore I will probably discontinue the use of the bowl.
