      Great little gadget

I bought one of these prior to my first child being born and found it to be a great little invention.

The steribox is about 3.5 inches long, 2.5 inches wide and about 2 inches deep. It is made of a clear, tough plastic.

The steribox takes 2 standard size dummies and would probably take 3 of the little newborn dummies no problem.

To use the steribox you fill it with a small amount of water. The 2 boxes that I purchased both had little markings on one side, to show you where to fill it up to.
After filling it with the required level of water, you place your dummies in the box and close the lid.
The dummies should have already been washed in hot soapy water and should not contain any metal parts - I made that mistake once, by trying to sterilise dummies which were glow in the dark - they had tiny metal inserts in the handles.
Once the dummies are in place, you put the lid on the steribox. It clips easily in place.

The length of time that it takes to sterilise the dummies varies according to the strength of your microwave, but the max is about 3 minutes.

As the microwave heats up the water it basiclly steams the dummies, so they are sterilised effectively.

On removing the dummies from the microwave you need to be very careful as they will be extremely hot. Do not give them to your baby until you are sure they have cooled down - including any liquid that has collected inside the teats.

I found this to be a very handy little invention for those times when you just needed to sterilise a couple of dummies and didn't want to set up the full sterilising unit. I think I paid around £3.99 for this and 2 dummies were included.

Unfortunately my first steribox broke after about 18 months. It just developed a crack, but it had been used a lot. The 2nd one is still going strong after 2 years.
