Advantages: Design is good on the whole, compact for a 3-wheeler, ideal for on tarmac and tracks.
Disadvantages: Small basket, no clip to hold shut, not really an off roader. Wheels seem to have a manufacturing fault.
I bought this pram a fortnight ago after examining it in the shop and decided it would be a good replacement fot my broken pushchair and would see my daughter throught the next 2 winters. It is black nylon type material and cost £99. The handle height is good for myself 5'8" and my husband 6'4". The neoprene type material on the handle is comfortable and isn't to cold when it gets wet. It has two positions which seem to suit my daughter at 11mths but isn't recommended for a very young baby. The positons are altered by 2 long zips a each side. It has a fold out hood handy for showers and to keep the sun off. The rain cover is included in the price and fits very well. It survived Scottish horizontal rain and baby was bone dry. It fits neatly under the foot rest and means the child can't stick its feet out and end up with very soggy toes. It folds up and can be stored in the basket. The shopping basket is sturdy but not that big, enough for a small nappy bag and a jacket. Not large enough to get your weekly shopping in. You may have read all this and thought what a great pram. Alas we come to the wheels. Larger than the usual pushchairs but not as huge as some 3-wheelers. The hubs are plastic and the tyres rubbery. Almost straight away I noticed a knocking noise from one of the rear wheels which just got worse. I took it into Mothercare 4 days after I bought it and they ordered a replacement wheel. A week later the knocking had turned into a grinding and the other one started knocking. I hadn't heard from them so I just took it in and dumped it with them. They hummed and hawed about a refund as they had to consulte with the manufacturer (rubbish). I quoted the Sale of Goods act and they agreed to a refund. As I was happy with the overall design I now have the similar Summit model which has metal pneumatic wheels which should be better. Read my opinion to see what I think of it. <

- 27/03/01 The Summit is a bit better but,
the raincover leeks at the material bit at the bottom,
Ihave had three punctures but was able to get home to repair them ( I now carry a pump and a repair kit in the handy zip pocket)and
The worst thing is the front wheel doesn,t swivel. Its great out walking but a real pain to turn in shops etc. I would love the same pram but with aswivel wheel.

- 29/09/00 I found my wee one was quite comfortable in it. The recline position is just enough. It was really only the wheels I had a problem with. I have now upgrade to the Summit 3 wheeler so a new opinion coming soon. |

- 21/09/00 I agree it looks great in the shop but whenever I have seen it out and about the baby always seems to be being carried!!! Probably not too comfortable.. |
