      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Great looking practical bowls.

I bought these for my son a couple of months after we had started weaning him. I was attracted to the bright, fun colours. I had also been on the lookout for suction bowls so this was a bonus.

You get three bowls, they all come with lids and a suction base. They are 3 different sizes, and they all fit inside one another for space saving storage.

I have used them for all sorts of food from finger food and snacks to porridge in the morning and even frozen meals in them a couple of time when I have run out of other containers. They are especially good for taking out with you as they have lids and they fit very securely. Having said this the lids do require a bit of effort to pop on and I do have to press harder than you'd imagine to get them to clip in to place.

Unfortunately the suction on the bowls isn't quite as good as I had hoped. They do become unstuck after a short period of time and my son can usually lift them off his high chair fairly easily. Although wetting them a little does seem to make them stick slightly longer. But I don't see this as too much of a negative as I have bought a few different brands of suction bowls and to be honest none of them are any better so I don't feel they lose any appeal due to this.

Over a year on I still use the two larger bowls frequently but the smaller one now has become redundant as it is too small to hold a good amount of food and snacks, but it was good for a few months during early weaning as it held a portion of pureed food and I mainly used it when we were out.

The bowls are dishwasher (top rack) safe, the packet does say they are not for microwave use, but I must admit I do use them in the microwave and even after all this time I have yet to see any reason why not, they have not worn, or the suction changed effectiveness at all so I don't know the reasoning behind thid. It is also a bit cheeky as the fact you can't use them in the microwave is not mentioned on many websites that sell them, and these days you expect most things like this to be microwave safe.

I think these were around £5 when we purchased them which is a good price despite their minor negatives, they look fantastic and after over a years worth of use they have not faded at all and are still in very good condition.

        Disadvantages

        They actually stay put

When my youngest daughter was a toddler we had tried the Tommee Tippee bowls and mat to keep them held in place on the high chair however we found that this system was pretty much useless. We bought a cheap bowl with a suction mechanism on the bottom which was great and we had been using it for our younger daughter until recently when the suction began to lose its strength and she managed to remove it from her highchair which is not good when she is eating spaghetti hoops on toast.

I am a great lover of Amazon and through doing things such as reviewing I tend to have a balance on the Amazon account so when I need to find something and cannot be bothered trailing the shops or don't have time I turn to Amazon. I bought these bowls on Amazon about 2 months ago so have been using them now for about 6 weeks. The bowls cost me £5.45 for a set of free and they were delivered on the super saver delivery scheme so delivery didn't cost a penny.

The set contains three nice bright bowls and lids with a suction section on the bottom, it was the fact of the colours and the lids which made me select this product as I believe bright colours help draw little children to the food and the lids are great as I send food with my daughters when they go to their Granda when I'm working.

The bowls comes in a variety of colours and there are two bowls which are smaller than the third although I think all the bowls are a good size and even the smaller ones are ample to fit in my daughters meals and she is nearly two so she doesn't eat tiny portions anymore. We have a purple, yellow and a blue bowl and the suction parts are orange, green and purple and then the lids are orange, green and blue so I'm sure you can see they really are brightly coloured and my daughter seems to get excited when she sees one of the bowls coming towards her. The lids for the bowls fit on really well which makes them great for taking food out with you without worrying about spillages and the lids are also textured although I don't quite understand why as I don't tend to give the lids to my daughter.

The bowls are made of hard plastic and then they have two lips of plastic one at either side making it easier to stick the bowl down. I have found that the bowls do not stick very well and was disappointed as I have had a number of Munchkin products and they have always been great quality. One day I hadn't dried the bowl properly and then found that by the sucker being a little bit damp meant it stuck onto the highchair tray perfectly and stayed put, finally my daughter cannot pull the bowls from her tray and now I make sure I dampen the sucker with a cloth before using the bowls.

I like the smaller bowls for putting her breakfast in as she doesn't like milk on her cereal and these are great for keeping all the small pieces of cereal contained without her being able to through them. I put her main meals in the bigger bowl as she eats more at lunch and dinner than at breakfast and her main meals tend to have more liquid so the bigger bowl is better.

The bowls are safe to be washed in the dishwasher on the top shelf however I don't have a dishwasher so I have never used them in one, the bowls are not microwave safe according to the instructions which is a shame and is the only drawback of the bowls and you are not told on Amazon this is the case you only find out once you have bought them. This isn't a major issue as my daughter tends to like her food at room temperature anyway but if there is something in the bowls which has had to be kept in the fridge you need to transfer the food into another bowl to warm it through.

I give these bowls 4 stars from 5, they are a decent price, they work really well as long as you dampen the sucker and they are really bright and colourful so there is not much not to like and having been a mother for over 5 years now I am aware how hard it can be to find a bowl that will stay put.
