A great bottle brush from Nuby.

      ~*~*~ Nuby Bottle & Teat Brush ~*~*~

      ~ What is it? ~

This is a double ended brush intended for use when cleaning baby bottles.

      ~ Using it ~

      Ha! Here's the fun part!

My son has always been bottle fed, he is 20 months now so whilst he does still have bottles he does have beakers and cups too, anyway over the last 20 months I have been through a few bottle brushes and this has been in the drawer since before he was born, I thought it didn't have a teat brush, turns out it does!

So I threw the one brush away without really giving it much thought until it came to washing my sons bottles one evening when I realised I didn't have a brush so I dug this one out of the drawer, I opened up the horrid blister pack with a pair of scissors and eventually got around to getting the bottles washed. I did as best as I could with the teats but the brush just didn't fit, I struggled like this for the next month or so, until one day I managed to knock the top of the brush which resulted in the lid coming off revealing the well hidden teat brush! Fancy that!

The teat brush is housed in the actual lid, so when you remove the top you keep a hold of that to wash the teats with, I would never have guessed and only came across it by accident. I then told my hubby who casually mentioned that 'yep, I know, didn't you know then?' He then went on to call me a typical blonde! The absolute cheek!

Anyway, after that the brush is very easy and actually very nice to use.

The fat end of the brush has not only bristles but also a netted area which I find gets the bottles nice and clean, it is also very soft and has caused no damage to any of the bottles.
As mentioned above the teat brush is hidden but simply pulling on the cap reveals it and this too it gentle and soft to use on teats without causing any damage.

My brush is mainly white, the body is a white plastic and on the one end is the fatter brush for cleaning the bottles and then a white pop off lid houses the white teat brush.

I have found that it fits the wider Nuby/Avent bottles much better than the slimmer style bottles however with a little bit of a shove the brush does eventually fit in through the neck and will clean the bottles thoroughly.

      ~ Overall ~

I am slightly irritated that I didn't use this brush sooner as it has proved to be a brilliant bottle brush, the overall look of the brush is very neat and it has stayed white and clean looking, once a week I place the brush (along with my other cloths etc) in the sink bowl along with a solution of water and sterelising fluid, this ensures that it stays germ free, when my son was younger I would do this with his brushes every night.

The brush gets to the edges of the bottles and removes any traces of milk or residue with ease which is what shows me that it is indeed a brilliant bottle brush.

      I would highly recommend it.

      Thanks for reading :o) x
