A great gift for mum and baby

This product was given to me as a gift by my sister in law who works at Waitrose and thought this would be a great little item to have in the house and I have to admit it is pretty good!

Organic At Heart develop natural products especially for mother and baby and the Healing Mummy and Baby balm is one of the latest products to be introduced to the range.

The product is housed in a lime green glass jar with a white lid and simple white writing on the jar.

This product retails at £6.50 which is pricey in my opinion so I am not sure how much my sister in law paid for this.

When I opened the jar the product appears somewhat greasy and has the appearance of candle wax. The smell I have to say is not too appealing but after all this product is meant to be all natural so it is not going to smell like your normal lotions and potions.

I use/used the product on cracked nipples and it was actually really nice when applied as it had a cooling effect which was really soothing and also on the perineum in the third trimester.
Although the jar is only 60ml it is filled right to the brim and there was plenty left over after our little one was born so I decided to use the rest on her massaging into her dry skin.

The only downside to this product is that the skin is left feeling oily and somewhat slippery but this is whilst the product is absorbed into the skin.
The product contains Olive Oil which if used reguarly can make the skin have more elasticity which can help tears during childbirth and I can say that although I have no proof it must have helped as I had no tears after delivery and continued to use this to help soothe the area after childbirth.

      Ingredients
      Olive oil
      Sunflower Oil
      Beeswax
      Cetearyl alcohol
      Anthemis
      Roman Camomile
      Baobab seed
      Geranoil
      Citronellol

I can't say that I would purchase this product again, mainly due to the high price of the item but I do feel that it has many benefits for both the mother and the baby but since having this product I have had a look at alternative products which are much lower in price so you do pay a premium for having an organic product.

Using the balm on the baby does leave the skin feeling soft and moisturised and she seems to love the massage when it gets applied!
