Advantages: Easy to steer, lots of fittments

Disadvantages: Heavy, bulky

Quinny is well-respected in the world of pushchairs with many celebrities opting for the Quinny Buzz. I choose the Quinny after much research and time spent find the best price. The Quinny Buzz is not cheap, at between £300 and £500 depending on where you purchase and the package you buy.

It is very attractive as it has many features. It can be used with three different attachments on the frame. If you have a Maxi Cosi Cabriofix car seat, this can be fitted to the buzz with the use of simple adaptors, this can be very useful if you don't want to wake a sleeping baby. You can also use it with the Dreami carry cot for a younger baby using the same adaptors as for the car seat; this transforms the push chair into a pram, allowing the baby to be in the recommend totally flat position. The final fitment is the pushchair unit itself, the beauty of the Quinny Buzz is that it can be fitting both forward and rear facing. All of the attachments are easy to clean and are made of hard wearing material.

The frame has a gas pressured opening system so it can be released and opened with one hand. This sounds good on paper, but in practice is a bit of a gimmick, the reason being is that when the buggy is folded you have to remove the attachment first, whether that be the car seat, carry cot or pushchair seat unit (the exception to this is the seat unit in the forward facing position, least used by me). This means that you still need two hands to fix the required attachment.

The buggy is by no means compact and takes up a fair amount of boot space even in a people carrier. It is also fairly heavy, even just the frame and may be quite difficult to lift in the weeks following a caesarean.

The frame could be stronger; mine appears to have bent with even just a few light shopping bags. The rain cover is very stiff, bulky and difficult to fit. All in all, I don't think I would recommend this pushchair.

Summary: Wouldn't recommend
